With Congress actively supporting Big Pharma, who do you Trust?

Last October a joint investigation between CBS 60 Minutes and the Washington Article showed that Congress has been actively supporting major pharmaceutical companies getting millions of Americans hooked on prescription opiates.

With those in power effectively driving the epidemic in America, millions of people are finding better solutions to their pain problems such as the South East Asian herb kratom.

60 Minutes investigation

A into the explosion of opiate addiction in America has shown that Congress – and even the President – are up to their eyes in the crisis. A former investigator in the DEA told 60 Minutes, “This is an industry that allowed millions and millions of drugs to go into bad pharmacies and doctors’ offices, that distributed them out to people who had no legitimate need for those drugs. BILL WHITAKER: Who are these distributors? JOE RANNAZZISI: The three largest distributors are Cardinal Health, McKesson, and AmerisourceBergen. They control probably 85 or 90 percent of the drugs going downstream.”

Rather than combat the problem, Congress passed a law that made it easier for these companies to get their pain pills onto the black market. While President Obama signed it into law, President Trump has just nominated one of the Congressmen behind the law to be his new Drugs Czar – the lunatics have been hired to look after the asylum. Meanwhile, investigator Rannazzisi was effectively fired from the DEA.

With the government so corrupted by Big Pharma who can you trust? The answer is for people to look after themselves.

Kratom

Kratom is a little-known herb from the tropical rainforests of South East Asia in places like Borneo, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. The leaves of the kratom tree, which can grow up to 20 feet are dried and have been used therapeutically for centuries by the indigenous peoples of these countries. A preparation of kratom could well be a solution for those who seek the painkilling effects of medical marijuana or prescription pain pills without the sedation or addictive side effects.

The DEA looked at banning kratom late in 2016 but after protests by expert doctors and the thousands of people in the US who use the herb, the DEA for the first time in its history . It is perfectly legal to use, and may well be the non-government solution to tackling pain pill addiction.

Research has shown that kratom’s main alkaloids bind to the same nerve receptors that opiate painkillers do, allowing the same painkilling effects while radically tackling the cravings associated with opioid withdrawal. This enables people to kick their pain pill habits without having to go to the doctor to pay for expensive treatments that they may not trust.

Those who in the United States may well have lost faith in the government and in their doctors. Given that so many doctors have made people addicted, and Congress is actively pushing drugs to make their donors more money, is it any wonder that people are looking for solutions that they might not find in a medical textbook?
